I would highly recommend Highland Tree Services. The job was well-planned and the team was efficient and cleaned everything up. They take a lot of pride in their work. They took down 1 large tree and a smaller tree. They were very flexible in regards to the combination of woods chip vs. logs for firewood. They were great working around pre-existing items in my yard (playground, other trees, garden beds, sun shade) and did not damage these items. I would absolutely work with them again.

Very pleased with the work done by Highland Tree Services at my home yesterday. During an earlier initial visit, Charlie looked at my collection of arbor vitae and Japanese maples with me, took the time to understand what I wanted, and then discussed with me what he thought was possible. Within days I received a detailed, itemized quote, and signed off on the parts I wanted. Charlie and his crew arrived yesterday afternoon as scheduled, announced their presence, got the trees trimmed up, and then cleaned up the site, all in a fairly short amount of time. All of the trees they worked on are much less overgrown now; nicely done. 🙂

I was very satisfied with the work that Charlie and his team did. They spent a good deal of time not only being thorough finding all of the dead wood on the tree we were most concerned about, but they also went out of their way to look at other trees on our property that we hadn’t thought of paying attention to, but ended up genuinely needing to take care of. This is different than just arbitrarily suggesting more work be done, so that more things would be paid for. The assessment recommended work that needed to be done, and identified things that could genuinely wait. This shows a level of integrity that is honestly rare in the practice of modern business. The high quality of the work goes without saying; we are very happy with the work that was done, and our property is much safer and our trees healthy as a result.

Charlie and his team were highly professional. They responded quickly to my request for a quote. They were not the lowest quote I received, but they were able to get to the work of cutting down my trees and grinding the stumps the soonest. Unlike others, they were willing to climb the trees rather than bringing in heavy lifts for trimming, which I appreciate since I have soft sandy soil and the equipment would have left deep ruts in my lawn. The work was done in an afternoon and everything cleaned up spotlessly. They even took down another small tree and cleared out some additional brush for no extra charge. I’ve worked with a lot of tree companies in the past, from the big names to the random guy with a chain saw. We live in a forest and I’ve found the tree guy I will be going to in the future.
